The Ontario Hockey League partnered with the Juno Beach Centre to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of D-Day and the Normandy Landings during the month of November.
Select OHL teams will wear special-edition jerseys designed to pay tribute to Canada’s brave Second World War veterans and fallen heros. Each jersey features imagery from the D-Day Landings on Juno Beach on June 6, 1944.
This unique unworn game jersey was designed and manufactured by CCM in Canada and is only available in size 56. It features images of Canadian and British soldiers landing on the D-Day beaches in 1944. This is an alternative design that was not selected by the OHL to be worn.The back of the jersey features the words "Lest We Forget" and the CHL logo.
Proceeds from this auction will support the Juno Beach Centre, Canada’s only museum on the D-Day Landing Beaches in Normandy, France. The funds raised through this initiative will support future commemoration and educational programming.
